It is situated in the north-west part of the city of Suzhou and it is one of the main tourist attraction of the city.
The Tiger Hill can be reached from Hanshan temple riding a small but characteristic dragon boat.

Hanshan Temple
It was built in the city of Fengqiao during the Liang Period (502-520)of the Southern Dynasties. It is only at 3,5 km from the city of Suzhou. Once, during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), it was under the direction of eminent monks such as Hanshan and Shide. The temple was named after them.

Fishermen Garden
This cute little garden is a typical building complex in ancient China: all the structures were made by wood and all doors and windows frame were carved with beautiful design. The Fisherman Garden was rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Zhuozheng ( Humble Administrator??s) Garden
It is the largest garden in the city of Suzhou and it was built in 1513 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is quite peculiar since it covers an area of about 4,8 hectares of which three fourth are on water.

Suzhou Embroidery is between the four most well-known kinds of embroidery in the whole China.

Silk Weaving
Silk weaving is one of the most ancient and traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The one made in Suzhou is a little peculiar: the weaving is done following the tapestry weaving method using fine silk and golden thread. This beautiful articles used to be tributes to the Royal Court during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

ZhouZhuang
This was the first little town founded in 1086 during the Northern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). It is only 30 km from Suzhou. It can be described as an ancient town on water, with its ancient buildings and its crisscrossing rivers and small lakes. Most of the buildings have been built during the Ming ( 1368-1644) and the Qing Dynasties (1644-1911). There are also ten ancient small bridges in this town.

Tongli Town
Tongli Town is an other city on the water built in the architectural styles of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644-1911). It is only 20 km from the city of Suzhou. There are 20 bridges and 15 crisscrossing canals, the street are narrow and simple but at the same time elegant. Shops and tea houses line one after an other making you feel as you were in ancient China.
