This museum is situated inside the Chaotian Palace and it hosts a big collection with more than 60,000 relics and 10,000 historical record and documents. Most of the relicts were found in Nanjing in the tombs of the 3^rd and the 6^th century.

The City Wall was built at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is 10 km long in the north-south direction while it is only 5.67 km in the east-west direction and 12 meters high. The largest gate in it is the Zhonghua Gate.
