Hainan is quite peculiar among China's provinces, since it is the largest ocean island and the smallest land province at the same time. It is worldwide known for its natural beauty and it is often called "Oriental Hawaii". It has an area of 35,000 square km and a population of 7,11 million people of which almost 1 million are ethnic minorities. It is a giant sculpture made by clay situated on a top of a hill in Sanya. It was so called because its shape resembles a  deer looking back wards.

Located at 28 km from the city of Sanya, in the south-east direction, it is long 7,5 km and it has the shape of a Crescent Moon. It very spectacular and so famous for its white and fine sand and crystal water. It is very romantic, especially under the moon light.

Only at 23 km from Sanya, in the west direction, this place is famous for hosting numerous rocks carved by Chinese men of letters of the past. The most well- known are called "The End of the Earth", "The Corner os the Sea" and "No. One Pillar in the Southern Sky".

Xionlong Tropical Botanic Garden covers an area of 32 hectares and it has more than 1,000 species of tropical plants among which there are also coffee plants, pepper plants, cocoa plants and even dragon trees. It was opened in 1957.

It is located at 40 km from the city of Sanya, in the west direction. It was designed by New York International City Design Co. (USA). It is the very first scenic spot in the People's Republic of China that implemented the ISO 14,000 environment Management system. It is quite peculiar since it displays Buddhist and traditional Chinese culture crafts as well as ocean scenery and historical sites.
