This lake is also known as the "Heavenly Lake" because it is located on the top of the Changbai Mountain, who was formerly a volcano. In fact, this lake formed only in 1702 and it is at 2,155 meters above the sea level. It is also on the border between Korea and China.

At 14 km from the city of Jilin, this spectacular scenic area covers about 550 square meters. This mirror-like lake has white crystal water and even some small islands in it! It is even more beautiful in the winter time, when all the tree branches around the lake are full of snow crystals!
