Harbin City Brief Introduction
Nowadays, Harbin is a very developed and cultural city, but in the past it was no more than a quiet and small fishing village on the Songhua River. It is often called the "Capital of Ice" or the "City of Ice", because of its spectacular winters. Every year, Harbin holds the Ice Lantern Festival, usually from the beginning of January to the end of February, where it exhibits spectacular ice-sculptures of any shape and size. In the evening these sculptures are illuminated from inside and it seems to be in a fantasy-land park!
