It is a city over 3,000 years old and it is considered the birthplace of Chinese ancient culture, in fact, here archeologists found relicts of the Yangshao, Longshan and Xiaotun Culture in caves of about 25,000 years ago. Anyang also hosts a library of inscriptions on oracle bones, the first steps toward the meaningful and artistic Chinese writing system.
