Terracotta warriors

The Museum where the first Chinese Emperor Qin Shihuang' s terracotta army is displayed is located 1,5 km east of the Mausoleum of the same Emperor. The terracotta army was found in the 70's by a peasant while digging a hole to look for water. It is composed of three underground timber lined vaults containing chariots and more than six thousand soldiers, fourteen hundred statues of cavalryman and horses and so on. Every soldier can be distinguished from one another by his shoes wear, his vest and his hair dressing. That means that they were all made one by one. But still more than a thousand warriors have not been reassembled. This was part of the Emperor Shihuang mausoleum tomb. He wanted all his warriors to be ready to protect him in the after-life.
