CIVIL AVIATION MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE OF CHINA

Approved and accredited by the Ministry of Education, the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China (CAMIC) was established in July, 1982.

It holds both higher education programs as well as training programs for senior managers. It has five departments and offers thirteen majors in different fields. With a beautiful campus of over 50,000 square meters on over 60 acres of land, CAMIC is well equipped with a set of advanced teaching and learning facilities, including teaching buildings, computer centers, laboratories, multi-media classrooms, language laboratories, a sophisticated lecture hall with four-track simultaneous interpretation facilities, an auditorium with a capacity of 900 people, as well as cafeterias, a gym and the student dormitory buildings.

CAMIC¡¯s various Chinese language programs cater to: foreign students; business people; and all those who are interested in Chinese. Over the past ten years more than one thousand foreigners from 29 countries, have successfully completed their studies in the Chinese language.

In addition to individual applicants, CAMIC is receiving more and more interest from foreign universities, companies, exchange institutions and government organizations. Apartment style accommodation includes: living room, bedrooms, kitchen equipped with natural gas stove, bathroom, air-conditioning, telephone, TV, and furniture. Every year, there are several thousand overseas students from various countries that come to study the Chinese language, Chinese culture and Business.

The students are mostly from overseas universities, foreign companies, and embassies in Beijing. Students are generally taught in a small group format, which is excellent for language learning. By taking full advantage of the ideal language environment of Beijing, students can quickly grasp standard spoken Chinese.

WHY CHOOSE CAMIC ?

Greetings from Program Coordinator: It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to this web page. As Director of the foreign affairs office, CIVIL AVIATION MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE OF CHINA (CAMIC), I am proud to have the opportunity to meet people from many different parts of the world. I hope, through the INTERNET, I will have many more chances to make new friends.

CAMIC s various Chinese language programs cater to: foreign students; business people; and all those who are interested in Chinese. Over the past ten years more than one thousand foreigners from 29 countries, have successfully completed their studies in the Chinese language. In addition to individual applicants, CAMIC is receiving more and more interest from foreign universities, companies, exchange institutions and government organizations. We regularly training programs for students from Deakin University, Australia; graduates from Crel-Duisberg-Gesellschaft, Germany; and for the United States military, including the army, navy and air force.

Classes are held each morning, in addition to which you will find ample opportunity to practice your Chinese with Chinese students who are also learning foreign languages. In the tranquil garden setting of our university campus you can enjoy exchanging language skills with local people, an excellent opportunity to discover more about Chinese culture and a chance to make Chinese friends as well. We will do our best to ensure that your stay with us will be as productive and pleasant as possible, but, should you have any problems during your stay with us, you will find our instructors and faculty members extremely helpful.

By the way, I often collect national flags and small souvenirs from countries I have visited and from people I have met. Perhaps you could bring something from your own country or hometown when you come to Beijing, in order to share a little of your own culture with all of us here at CAMIC.
