During special events such as the Canton Fair or during a peak season,   many hotels are fully booked one week before such events.  Also, the hotel price will vary dramatically before, during and after the events.  For example, a modest 3-stars hotel near the Canton Fair Grounds in Guangzhou will increase from $40 to $100 during the Fair.  We recommend you to make your reservation one month before the high seasons or major events, two weeks ahead for other periods during the year.
